What takes points off your scores, and what gets you banned instantly. An order you don't send costs visibility: your listings show lower for a while. Breaking a rule costs account health, and at 0 the account is banned. Both climb back on their own. See your scores

Asking to pay or be paid outside SafeSwap
🔨 Ban
Requesting or agreeing to gift cards, Discord Nitro, PayPal F&F, bank transfer, crypto or any payment that skips SafeSwap escrow. No protection applies off-platform — this is the single most common scam pattern and is banned on first contact, not just first success.
Not sending an order you were paid for
⚠️ Penalty points
You have 3 days to send. Miss it and the buyer is refunded in full and your visibility score drops, so your listings show lower — under 20 they leave Browse until it climbs back. Nobody is paused or banned for a missed order. A whole unsent basket counts once, and marking an order as sent when it never arrived counts the same way. Every order you deliver puts 10 back, and it recovers 4 a day on its own. If you messaged the buyer in the order chat to arrange it and they never replied, it does not count against you.
Chargebacks or payment disputes filed in bad faith
🔨 Ban
Receiving an item and then disputing the card charge to get your money back while keeping the item. Treated as theft, not a billing dispute.
Price tampering or manipulating checkout
🔨 Ban
Attempting to alter the price sent to checkout, replaying an old offer, or any attempt to pay less than the listed/accepted price through the app itself rather than the UI.
Pressuring a buyer or seller to skip a step
⚠️ Penalty points
Pushing someone to confirm receipt before actually checking the item, or to release funds early 'as a favour'. Not a scam on its own, but it undermines the escrow protection everyone else relies on.
🛡️Every trade is still protected by escrow no matter what happens here — breaking a rule affects the account that broke it, never the money already in someone else's protected trade. Report a rule-break from the order chat or via a support ticket.
