This is a summary-friendly version of our full Terms. It is deliberately written in plain English rather than dense legal drafting, but it is the actual agreement that applies to your use of SafeSwap.
SafeSwap ("SafeSwap", "we", "us", "our") operates the website safeswap.gg (the "Site") and is run as SafeSwap Market, based in the United Kingdom. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and SafeSwap and govern your access to and use of the Site and every service offered on it, including browsing listings, buying, selling, messaging other users, and taking part in the Robux rewards programme described in section 9.
By creating an account, or by using the Site in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into this agreement by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site.
These Terms apply to every user of the Site, whether you only ever buy, only ever sell, or do both. Where a clause applies to one role only, it says so.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an Account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf, consents to you buying, selling, and receiving payments through the Site, and accepts responsibility for your use of the Site and for any transactions carried out through your Account. SafeSwap may ask for evidence of that consent at any time and may suspend an Account where it cannot be shown.
You may hold one Account. You must give accurate information when registering and keep it up to date, and you are responsible for everything that happens under your Account, whether or not you personally carried it out, except where it results from a security failure on our part. Tell us immediately if you believe your Account has been accessed without your permission.
We may run automated and manual checks — including on signup device and network information — to detect duplicate, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited accounts, and may warn, restrict, suspend, or ban an Account, or limit its access to the Robux rewards programme specifically, in line with sections 9 and 12.
SafeSwap is a marketplace and payment intermediary. Listings are created by Sellers, not by SafeSwap. We do not own, inspect, authenticate, or guarantee any Item, and we are not a party to the underlying sale of an Item — that contract is between the Buyer and the Seller. Our role is to host the Listing, take payment on the Seller's behalf under the escrow arrangement in section 6, and provide tools (messaging, dispute handling, reviews) that make that easier and safer to do.
We do not guarantee that any Listing is accurate, that any Item exists as described, that a Seller will deliver, or that a Buyer will pay in good faith. We are not responsible for the quality, legality, or safety of any Item, or for a user's conduct on or off the Site.
By creating a Listing, you confirm that:
A Listing may show a quantity ("stock") greater than one. Selling one unit does not remove the Listing while stock remains — the remaining units stay for sale, and it is your responsibility to keep the stock figure accurate and to mark a Listing as sold out or remove it once you can no longer fulfil it.
We may remove, hide, or decline any Listing, and may require certain Listings to be reviewed before they go live, entirely at our discretion — including where an Item, price, or description looks improbable, where we suspect it is not genuinely available, or where it relates to a game or category we no longer support.
A Buyer pays the Item price and nothing more, whichever way they pay — from their SafeSwap balance, by card, by PayPal or through another payment provider. SafeSwap adds no fee on the Buyer's side. A payment by card has a minimum amount, shown before the Buyer pays (£2.50 for orders placed before 20 October 2026 and £1.50 from that date): where the Items come to less than that, the difference is credited to the Buyer's SafeSwap balance as spend-only credit when the payment is confirmed, and this is shown before payment is taken. Orders paid through PayPal must be for at least £3.00 of Items (£4.50 before 20 October 2026). Adding money to a SafeSwap balance by card carries no fee, and SafeSwap may add promotional credit (a bonus) to a deposit. Credit added to a balance — by deposit, as a bonus, or left over from a card payment — can be spent on the Site and cannot be withdrawn or paid back to a card.
Payment is taken and held by SafeSwap through our payment processor (Stripe) — it is not released to the Seller immediately. The order then follows this timeline:
SafeSwap retains a service fee from the Seller's payout on every completed sale, regardless of the outcome of any later dispute: 10% of the sale amount on orders placed before 20 October 2026, and 15% of the sale amount on orders placed on or after that date (notice of this change was posted on the Site on 5 October 2026). Available seller balances may be withdrawn once they reach £3, using a payout method offered on the Site at the time (which may include UK bank transfer, PayPal, Wise, Remitly, cryptocurrency or a Roblox gift card, and may change or be added to without notice); a processing fee may apply depending on the method chosen, and this is shown before you confirm a withdrawal.
A Buyer may pay for an order from their SafeSwap balance — money from their own sales, or credit added to it — where that balance covers the whole order. A SafeSwap Robux balance (section 9) cannot be put toward an order.
Most problems resolve on their own through the automatic timeline in section 6 — a Seller who never sends leads to an automatic full refund, with nothing to claim. Where a Buyer reports non-receipt, or either party otherwise raises a problem with an order through the Help page or from within the order itself, SafeSwap will review the available evidence — including in-Site messages, timestamps, and anything either party submits — and decide whether to release the funds to the Seller, refund the Buyer in full or in part, or take any other action it considers appropriate in the circumstances.
SafeSwap's decision on a dispute is final. We are not a court or an ombudsman and do not offer a formal appeals process, though nothing here prevents a UK consumer from pursuing their separate statutory rights, including through the courts, as described in section 16.
A refund is paid to the original payment method where possible, or credited to your SafeSwap balance where that is not possible. We may decline to action a report we reasonably believe to be false, exaggerated, or made in bad faith, and repeated bad-faith reports may result in restrictions on your Account under section 12.
SafeSwap is an independent service and is not operated, endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated with Roblox Corporation or any other game developer or publisher named or implied by a Listing. "Roblox" and Roblox's own Robux currency are trademarks of Roblox Corporation, referenced on this Site only to describe the games and Items being traded.
Trading in-game Items or currency for real money, or outside of a game's own official channels, may violate the terms of service of that game, including Roblox's. By using the Site you accept that risk in full, including the possibility that a game developer suspends, bans, or otherwise actions your game account as a result. SafeSwap is not responsible for, and will not compensate you for, any action taken by Roblox Corporation or any other game developer or publisher against any account, in-game or otherwise.
Delivery of an Item happens directly between Buyer and Seller inside the relevant game, outside of SafeSwap's systems. SafeSwap has no way to directly verify that a delivery has genuinely occurred and relies on what each party reports, alongside any evidence submitted, when resolving a dispute under section 7.
Separately from any purchase or sale, SafeSwap runs a promotional rewards programme under which users can earn a balance — labelled "Robux" on the Site — by completing activities we define from time to time, such as inviting other users, completing onboarding quests, or other actions the Site describes at the time. This balance is created and controlled entirely by SafeSwap. It is not issued by, redeemable with, or in any way connected to Roblox Corporation, and completing a SafeSwap activity does not credit your actual Roblox account.
At SafeSwap's discretion, an earned SafeSwap Robux balance may be applied toward a purchase on the Site as described in section 6, or claimed to be delivered to your Roblox account by a member of the SafeSwap team, subject to availability and to the checks in this section. A SafeSwap Robux balance has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, sold, or transferred to another Account, and is not a deposit, security, or investment of any kind.
The rewards programme is a discretionary promotion, not a contractual entitlement. SafeSwap may change, limit, delay, suspend, or end the programme, or the rate or availability of any reward, at any time and without compensation, including for balances already earned but not yet claimed, save that we will act reasonably and will not do so simply to avoid honouring a reward you have already qualified for and claimed correctly.
An invite reward is only paid once the referred account has met the qualifying activity the Site describes at the time (currently: the referred account creating a set number of genuine Listings). We run fraud checks on signup and referral activity, including detecting multiple accounts created from the same device or network in a short period. Where we reasonably conclude an account was created to abuse the rewards programme — rather than to genuinely buy or sell — we will close that account's (and any linked accounts') access to the rewards programme only; this does not, on its own, restrict that account's ability to buy or sell on the Site. Where an account has committed fraud against another user or against SafeSwap itself (as opposed to solely gaming the rewards programme), the fuller enforcement action in section 12 may also apply.
You may not create multiple accounts to earn rewards more than once, refer yourself, or otherwise artificially generate qualifying activity. Doing so may result in forfeiture of the reward, closure of your access to the rewards programme, or the fuller action described in section 12 depending on severity.
A review may only be left following a completed order between the two users involved, and reflects that individual order. You may not offer, request, or accept payment or any other benefit in exchange for leaving or removing a review, and you may not post a review you know to be false.
Messages between users, including offers, are provided so buyers and sellers can agree on a trade — they are not a general chat facility and may be monitored automatically to detect fraud, prohibited conduct, or content that breaches these Terms. Content you submit must not be unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringe another person's rights.
You keep ownership of Content you submit, but grant SafeSwap a licence to store, display, and use it as needed to operate the Site — for example, showing a Listing's photos to other users, or using message content as evidence when resolving a dispute under section 7.
The fees described in section 6 are the only fees SafeSwap charges for using the Site, and may change from time to time; any change applies to orders placed after it takes effect. You are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from your use of the Site, including any tax due on income from selling Items, and SafeSwap does not provide tax advice.
If you use the Site to sell as part of a business or trade, you are responsible for complying with any consumer protection, distance-selling, or other law that applies to you as a trader, in addition to these Terms.
You must not:
Where we reasonably believe you have done any of the above, we may take any of the actions described in section 13, and may report the matter to the relevant authorities, our payment processor, or Roblox Corporation, without further notice to you.
We may warn, restrict (which limits or removes the ability to buy or sell), suspend, or permanently ban an Account, remove Listings, and cancel or reverse pending payouts, where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, acted fraudulently, or caused (or risk causing) harm to SafeSwap or another user. Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you why. A ban may result in the loss of a pending balance where that balance itself is the product of the conduct that caused the ban (for example, funds obtained through fraud); it does not otherwise remove your right to funds you were legitimately owed before the ban.
You may close your Account at any time by contacting us at the address in section 18. We will settle or refund any Order already in progress before closing it, and closing your Account does not undo a completed Order or waive any obligation you already owed under these Terms.
We may also suspend or end the Site, or any part of it, for maintenance, legal, or business reasons, and will give notice where reasonably possible.
The Site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, about the Site's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose, and about any Listing, Item, or other user. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible attack, though we take reasonable steps to keep it so.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under English law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
To the fullest extent the law allows, SafeSwap is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of the Site. Where SafeSwap is found liable to you in connection with a specific Order, our total liability for that Order is limited to the amount you paid or were owed for it.
SafeSwap is not liable for the acts or omissions of another user, including a Seller's failure to deliver an Item or a Buyer's failure to pay in good faith, beyond the escrow and dispute process described in sections 6 and 7. SafeSwap is not liable for action taken by Roblox Corporation or another third party against your game account, as set out in section 8.
These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the Site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and mandatory consumer protections in that country continue to apply regardless of this clause. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any other claim.
If you are an EU consumer, you can also access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform. SafeSwap is not obliged to use, and does not currently use, any alternative dispute resolution scheme, but nothing here removes a right you otherwise have to bring a claim.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A failure by SafeSwap to enforce a right under these Terms is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else; SafeSwap may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or reorganisation of its business, and will tell you if it does.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for reasons including changes to the law, to our fees or services, or to how we operate. Where a change is material, we will give at least 14 days' notice by posting on the Site or by other reasonable means before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Site after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not agree, you should stop using the Site and may close your Account under section 13.
